#PictureTheChange
In these uncertain times, people need hope more than ever before. We wanted to show them that one small act of kindness, leads to another, and can make the biggest difference.
We invited people to #PictureTheChange and become part of the change.
We created an interactive photo mosaic, an image that represents every single one of us, made up of thousands of South Africans and all that they’d done to pay it forward.
Leading up to Mandela Day, we aggregated the tweets containing #PictureTheChange to create the final image that we revealed on the day. People were able to search their handle and find their tweet within the mosaic as well as explore other people’s contributions within the picture.
Ultimately, we reminded people that Mandela Day is not just about honouring a legacy, but about living up to it. And we proved that when we come together, we can create the world we want, one act of kindness at a time.
